I have wanted a space like this for a while, somewhere a little quieter than social media and a bit more reflective than the usual project write-ups. This blog will be my attempt to capture the work behind the work. The thinking, the experiments, the moments of clarity, and the occasional frustration that comes with building brands and solving design problems.
Most of what I plan to journal here will be design focused, although the topics may shift depending on what I am working on. Some posts will look at my process in a practical way. Others may explore why certain pieces of design are successful, why some aren’t, and what creative decisions shaped the outcome. I will also share thoughts on rebrands that catch my eye, updates to the tools we rely on every day, and the ideas that sit behind my own projects at Established Seventy Seven.
It may end up becoming a mix of opinions, small discoveries, and notes from the studio. My aim is not to deliver definitive answers. It is simply to talk openly about design, creativity, and the realities of the job. If anything here helps someone else’s process, or sparks a new way of approaching a brief, that will be more than enough.
If you are interested in how brands come together, how ideas develop, or what goes into making something feel clear and considered, I think you’ll feel at home here. I’m looking forward to building this slowly, post by post, and seeing where it leads.
While you’re here, please take some time to look over my branding work in my portfolio section.
